“Putting one’s eyes and thoughts on Nature is the highest refinement of civilization”
Bashoo, Matsuo, 1644 - 1694, one of the great poets of Japan
“We study and educate ourselves not only for our own good, but for the benefit of All”
James Robertson Marshall  (?) - 1993
Putting one’s eyes and thoughts on Nature comes from a natural desire to treat our environment and our fellow beings with respect, consideration, and awareness of the interconnectedness of all things.
Benefiting All through one’s own studies is accomplished by not holding on to information as power and by not separating ourselves from the other.
Sharing knowledge, experience, and skill allows us to pass on and continue the accumulated wisdom of valuable and worthy traditions.
